La expresi\u00f3n, mal transcrita, retom\u00f3 la forma en la que Do\u00f1a Elena se refiri\u00f3 al f\u00edsico de las mujeres del Istmo. Tehuanas y juchitecas han sido referidas por m\u00faltiples viajeros y escritores. Uno de ellos fue Hans Gadow, bi\u00f3logo y naturalista que naci\u00f3 en Prusia en 1855 y falleci\u00f3 en Cambridge en 1928. Trabaj\u00f3 en el Museo Brit\u00e1nico y en la Universidad de Cambridge; perteneci\u00f3 a la Sociedad Ornitol\u00f3gica Estadounidense, a la Sociedad Zool\u00f3gica de Londres y a la Real Sociedad.
