Sus teor\u00edas sostuvieron que las \u00e1reas metropolitanas con alta concentraci\u00f3n de trabajadores de tecnolog\u00eda de punta, artistas, h\u00edpsters, m\u00fasicos, lesbianas y homosexuales, y un grupo que \u00e9l describe como \u00abbohemios de punta\u00bb, se asocian con un nivel elevado de desarrollo econ\u00f3mico.
